Description: A companion to IB History, Studying History for the International Baccalaureate is intended as a guide and companion to students from different backgrounds in History starting the IB course. It provides introductions to History as an academic subject, and a short background to twentieth century world History (the world at the beginning of the twentieth century, and main themes to pay attention to in order to understand its development). It has chapters to help students apply their basic study skills to their reading for History, to thinking about History, and to researching and writing History. It gives special advice for approaching the Historical Investigation, the Extended Essay, the Sources Paper (with examples), and the Essay Papers.
